If you’re still heating your home with oil, this program is aggressively designed to get you off it—with massive financial support.
The Oil to Heat Pump Affordability Program (OHPA) can cover up to $25,000, making it possible to switch to a modern, efficient heat pump system with little to no out-of-pocket cost.
What’s Covered:
Heat pump system installation
Required electrical upgrades
Oil tank removal
Eligibility Requirements:
Your household income is at or below the median for your area
You own and live in your home year-round (primary residence)
Your home meets size and age requirements
You currently use oil as your primary heating source
Your home is connected to the North American electricity grid
This isn’t a small rebate—it’s a full transition incentive. If you qualify, there’s no rational reason to stay on oil.
