We had the unfortunate pleasure of having our furnace die on the evening before New Years Eve, in -24 temperature. Thankfully we called the right people for the job. They arrived the same night, and while it couldn’t be fixed (cracked heat exchanger) they made it safe so we wouldn’t worry about carbon monoxide poisoning. The arrived promptly to remove the old furnace and brought us space heaters to keep warm in the frigid temperatures. Everyone was friendly, courteous and professional. The new furnace looks and works great. They came when they said they would and called back promptly. The pricing was very fair and I would recommend them highly. We so appreciate having heat in our home again. Thank you so much!!

I have never posted a review before but truly felt this company and the employees deserved to be recognized and rated.We needed a split air conditioner/heater in the loft above our garage at our cottage when we had the heat wave that lasted way too long!! Our son & his young family stay up there and it was up to 89 degrees! I made several calls to different companies and it was SMHC to be the first to arrive, give us a very reasonable quote and had our unit installed before I heard back from others. Fast, very professional and friendly and I would recommend them in a heart beat. What impressed me most was that Dan was always available and emailed me over the weekend to make arrangements for installation. From the first phone call to the last hand shake as their team left, I was comforted by their honest, professional attitude.

Oustanding service! I called one Sunday afternoon with no heat in my (very chilly) house, Daniel arrived shortly afterwards to diagnose my boiler system and let me know what was wrong. Ultimately the problem was much more complicated that we first thought but he treated us with respect and solved our issues promptly and at a very fair price. I will recommend this company to everyone I meet! You won’t go wrong using them.

I am a Senior in Barrie, Ontario. Had some trouble with my air conditioning unit. I was hesitant to call the local company I have used for years, here in Barrie. Just coming to the house seems the call has become so expensive. Dan and Simcoe home comfort was recommended to us. Not just for a fair price for the work but work well done and with effort to keep the cost reasonable. So out he came from Orillia actually. Nice neat truck Dan himself, a young fellow and personable and smiley. Got me right away. Found the problem quickly and in short time was on his way. Knew exactly what was the problem and I was pleased with the bill. For sure I will have him return for servicing the equipment and would not, do not hesitate to refer him to friends and neighbors. Absolutely the most professional company we have ever utilized. Dan Leblanc is the most diligent owner who personally reviewed the entire job before, during and after the work was completed! He provided a free estimate in person, traveling over an hour in the winter, and was incredibly thorough. His pricing was fair and competitive. In addition, his quote did not change even when there were additional issues he ran into with our house. We had a multilevel, in floor heating, propane boiler, and hot water on demand installed. The job was big from our understanding, and Dan made sure it was done to perfection! He also followed up within a week to make sure there weren't any questions or concerns! He will also continue to provide furnace maintenance and checks. Dan also programs all of his own thermostats and electronic devices related to the furnace- he individualized each home; not the typical cookie cutter approach! He was here first thing in the morning, late at night, and made sure his employees cleaned up their mess and were equally as diligent! We were also very impressed that he had a co-op student with him! He was giving an opportunity to a kind young man who otherwise would not have had this experience! Dan is incredibly intelligent, diligent, personable, professional, and we were almost sad when the job was complete! We invested a lot into our heating, but we feel so secure knowing the job was done well, and we continue to have support even after it is complete!

Ductless AC installed in Toronto on a crazy hot day (which also happened to be Dan’s birthday!!). Outstanding job by him and his crew. Tireless effort, cheerful and careful over a long (10 hour plus) Saturday install. Done on the weekend to help us and get the system in as soon as possible. Very knowledgeable and helpful with follow-up calls post install. Strongly recommend.

A shout out to these professionals! We needed a gas line put in to connect to our outdoor appliances (after we recently moved) which is one of the many services they provide. Reliable, very friendly, efficient and great followup! We recently contacted them again to add a gas line for our new gas stove and explained that we need fairly quickly (within 1 week) … recognizing it is a small job, I received a welcoming response that they will make it happen. We are very happy with their services and would not hesitate to refer them to anyone . Our HVAC and Home Comfort friends forever!

Had a new AC installed right in time for the hot weather. Dan and the crew were clean, friendly and helpful, and even helped me set up my new nest thermostat! Beyond impressed with their workmanship, and I definitely know who who my new HVAC people are!
